Psychiatric Care for All of New York — Without the City's Waitlist.
Whether you’re in Manhattan or three hours north of it, the same telehealth visit gets you to Dr. Thaker. No referral required, and no months-long wait for an opening.
Why telehealth in New York
New York is enormous. Your access to care shouldn’t depend on which part of it you live in.
A state with some of the best psychiatric care in the country also has some of its longest waitlists, especially in NYC, where established practices can run months out. Telehealth erases that bottleneck entirely. The same licensed care reaches a walk-up in Brooklyn and a farmhouse outside Plattsburgh on identical terms.
Skip the waitlist
Manhattan’s best-known practices can run months out. We don’t operate on that backlog.
No commute, ever
Trade a subway transfer or a two-hour upstate drive for a video call from where you already are.
One license, the whole state
Licensed in New York means licensed for New York Buffalo to Brooklyn, under the same standard of care.
What we treat in New York
The same three conditions, the same standard of care, anywhere in the state.
ADHD care
Comprehensive evaluation and ongoing medication management for kids, teens, and adults.
Anxiety care
Evidence-based treatment for generalized anxiety, panic, and the racing-mind nights that won’t let up.
Depression care
Ongoing care for depression that meets you where you are, not where a clinic’s schedule says you should be.
Our approach
From “let’s see if this is a fit” to a real plan — in four visits, not four months.
Free consult
A short call to understand what’s bringing you here and confirm we’re the right fit.
Full evaluation
A thorough diagnostic assessment history, symptoms, and how they actually show up in your life.
Personalized plan
Medication management tailored to your goals, your body, and your day-to-day reality.
Real follow-through
Ongoing visits to adjust, fine-tune, and make sure the plan keeps working as your life does.
What NY patients ask before their first visit.
Q1: Are you licensed to treat patients in New York?
Yes. Dr. Thaker holds an active New York medical license (335244, expiring February 2027), and every telehealth visit is conducted within that license.
Q2: Do I need to live near a specific city to become a patient?
No. Telehealth means your location within New York doesn’t change your access to care — we see patients across the entire state.
Q3: Do I need to be physically in New York for my appointment?
Yes. State telehealth regulations require you to be physically located in New York at the time of your visit, even if you split time elsewhere.
Q4: Can I switch between in-person and telehealth visits?
Our practice is telehealth-only, which is exactly what allows us to see patients anywhere in the state without geographic limits.
